After a lot of media trials, Vijay Mallya, the liquor tycoon who owes billions to the Indian banks tweeted this morning “I am an international businessman. I travel to and from India frequently. I did not flee from India and neither am I an absconder. Rubbish”.
He further said in his tweet “As an Indian MP I fully respect and will comply with the law of the land. Our judicial system is sound and respected. But no trial by media.”
Vijay Mallya has a loan of billions of dollars from seventeen banks in India. Banks moved to Supreme Court to prevent him from leaving the country, but it was reported he left the country on 2nd march.
The UB group chairman left the country on a first class flight to London with a female companion.
