KPOP band set for tour in Australia 5/5 (1)

The BIGBANG, a Korean music and fashion sensation, has returned after a three year break with brand new music and a highly awaited World Tour (MADE). Band members G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri debuted in 2006 and have rocked the world stage ever since. Their YouTube channel has had more than 1.2 billion hits, still counting. They will perform three shows in Australia, two at Allphones Arena, Sydney (17th and 18th Oct) and one at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne (21 Oct).

The third show was added after tickets to the first show got sold out in the first 24 hours itself. Many were amazed with this overwhelming and unexpected response.

“To be honest, we were a bit surprised, even though we know that Big Bang are arguably the biggest K-Pop boy band in the world,” said Jamaica dela Cruz, the host of TV and radio show SBS PopAsia “It’s not so much that we doubted Big Bang’s popularity, it’s more that we were thinking Australia has a comparatively smaller market, and that international fans are more likely to [go and see them] in other countries than Australia.”
