India made a historic win against South Africa on the 27th when it dismissed its last eight batsmen, finishing the fourth innings on only the third day of the test match. Ashwin emerged as the man of the match with the highest total of wickets taken in tests this year. The match is the second test match win of India against South Africa, with one match drawn and the last match scheduled on December 3.
South Africa had scored a 79 in its first innings – the lowest total scored by any team against India, the closest being Sri Lanka’s 82 in 1990. Ravindra Jadeja and Amit Mishra were other key players of the test.
