Iran set to ship uranium to Russia

Iran is taking speedy actions in an attempt to gain relief from international sanctions, imposed on it due to perceived threat of nuclear activity in the country. In the course of the next two three weeks, the government will ship out around nine tonnes of enriched uranium to Russia in exchange of unenriched uranium in the form of yellow cake.

This and other steps will be taken to honor the deal Iran had struck with six world powers in July. President Hassan Rouhani will have to get the ban lifted before February 2016, if he wants his supporters to stand a chance in elections.

The lifting of the ban is expected to give a considerable boost to economy, which has pretty much stagnated since in the past few months.
