The international sportswear company NIKE has unveiled its first self-lacing shoe which will be available for its customers at the end of this year.
This self-lacing sneaker ties the laces itself once the feet hit a sensor built into the shoe. There are two buttons on its side to adjust accordingly.
“We’ve entered a new era of personalised performance,” said Mark Parker, Nike’s president and CEO. “Today, athletes want more than just a dash board. They want a relationship.
The shoe is designed by famous sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield and Tiffany Beers, Nike’s senior innovator.
The self-lacing sneaker will be available only to the Nike+ member. The sneakers will be available in three colors.
